It's a New Day

Every day is a new beginning. No matter how we have blown it the day before or how bad our circumstances may be, we have a fresh new start with God each day that we wake up again. Even if we’ve lost our job the day before, or lost a loved one, or a spouse gives us the news they’re leaving us, it’s a new day and a new dawn.

What if we lived our lives seeing each day as a gift from God and lived each moment fully alive? I can only imagine the people lining up to find out more about Jesus.

The time has come for change in the church. It’s a new season. God’s love is rocking the universe. God is pouring out His Spirit on this earth like never before. The days of mediocrity are coming to an end. Christ is calling us to be a passionate group of followers who will display the abundant life to a desperate world.

At the last gathering of the LIVE LOVE LAUGH club, I shared the vision and purpose God has for the group. For those who can’t attend the meetings in person, I invite you to journey with us by reading the posts on this site.

John 10:10 is the Bible verse that drives the vision for the club

Jesus said: "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.”

The goal of the club is to be a group of passionate followers of Christ living life to the fullest. We are sisters in Christ meeting once a month to encourage each other to keep moving.

The basis of the club is to stay focused on what brings life and to walk away from what steals life.

Life bringers are the things that bring fullness of life to us and life stealers are the things that steal and destroy life.

The first step to living a full life in Christ is to let go of the things that steal life from us. Below are some examples.

LIFE STEALERS:

Worry

Fear

Doubt

Stress

Bitterness

Addictions

Shame/Guilt/Condemnation

Being Stagnant

Self-Destructive Behaviors

The next step is to embrace the things that bring life. The number one way to find life is through communing with Jesus Christ. He is the way, the life, and the truth. Below are some more examples.

LIFE BRINGERS:

CONNECTING WITH GOD (Prayer, Meditating on Scriptures, Stillness, Studying the Bible)

Forgiveness

Fellowship/Friendship

Helping Others

Having Fun

Laughter

A powerful way to begin the journey of living in the moment is by having a “Letting Go” celebration. We did this at our last meeting. My sisters and I wrote the things that we needed to let go of on helium balloons. It sounds kind of silly and very childlike. It's powerful though and something is released in the spiritual realm when we mark our decision to move forward by symbolically releasing into the hands of God the things that are holding us back.

It was a beautiful moment in my backyard as five ladies stood with me in a circle holding hands, praying for God to free us from the things that were hindering us from living fully. It was exhilarating, as we watched our balloons float slowly away into the atmosphere. What a beautiful symbol of how Christ frees our spirits.

What is hindering you from the fullness of life? Whatever it is, let go and begin living the life Christ desires for you to live.

God created you to love, to live, to laugh, to soar. What’s holding you back?

Whatever happened yesterday is gone. Choose to stop looking back and begin embracing the moment you are living today.

Live Abundantly!
Amy
