Behind the Scenes

Verse of the Day: Isaiah 55:8-9

NIV: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

The Message: “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree… “For as the sky soars high above the earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.”

A Prayer:

Father,

I thank You and praise You for Your goodness. Your loving-kindness is never ending. Thank You for teaching me that You have a better plan for my life than I could ever plan for myself. Thank You for turning every disappointment into something glorious. Forgive me, Lord, for the times I have jumped a head of You and taken steps I shouldn’t have. Help me to continue to wait patiently for the awesome plan You have for my life. Help me to keep my eyes focused on You and to know that Your ways are so much higher than my ways. Help my spirit to rest fully as Your dreams for my life unfold. Continue to build character in me. Continue to purify my heart and make my life a beautiful example of Your love. I love you, my Daddy. Amen.

Whispers from God:

What I have planned for your life, my child, is so much better than anything you could ever imagine. Rest in Me. Rest in knowing that My ways are so much greater than your ways.
